“Engaging and practical, humorous and evidence-based, prescriptive but not preachy, authoritative yet never stuffy, Is That Me Yelling? quickly rises to the top of the many parenting books I’ve ever read. Rona Renner provides thoughtful and achievable solutions. If you’re a parent who has ever yelled at your kid and wished you hadn’t, this book is for you.”

Regaining Friendly Relations for Parents
I’m excited to announce that my husband Mick will join me on January 24th for a fun workshop for parents about how to regain friendly relations. Children add whole new dimensions to the kinds of things you and your spouse or partner argue about. How to discipline, bedtime, chores, and time alone, are just a few examples in a long list of issues. We’ll discuss why you argue, how you argue, and how to make up.

Talking With Kids When Bad Things Happen
Here is an interview I did on KQED Radio on 12/14/12 after I heard about the brutal shooting in Newtown Conn. I wanted to make sure parents turned the TV and radio’s off when their kids came home from school that day.
Love your children well….and may they be cherished and safe.
