When parents are incarcerated, often there are devastating consequences for their children. The rate of women serving time in prison has increased, leaving many children of inmates with extended family and foster homes. Because of the stigma experienced by previously incarcerated people, many parents find it extremely hard to regain custody of their children, even after they’re released from jail. Join Nurse Rona and guests for a discussion of the challenges that families with incarcerated parents face.
