Anyone who has seen a child covered in finger paint knows that art is an amazing amount of fun. But engaging children in art also nurtures creativity, imagination, self-esteem and holistic development. Art allows kids a chance to express themselves, connect to their cultural histories and personal stories, as well as facilitating learning in other areas. Rona and guests discuss how to engage children in visual arts. Guests: Renee Saulnier, an art studio teacher at a Reggio Inspired Art Studio, and Augusta Talbot, also teaches various ages of children in the East Bay with VALA (Visual Arts Language Arts).
